Microneedling

Example of Microneedling (Before/After):

Microneedling is used for skin rejuvenation or collagen induction therapy.  Multiple tiny needles pierce the skin, naturally promoting growth factors, collagen and elastin formation.

 -Lifts and tightens skin.
-Lightens pigments and blemishes.
-Improves wrinkles and fine lines.
-Improves scarring and stretch marks.
-Minimizes pore size.

Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) or Vampire Facelift - After a blood sample is obtained, the blood is put into a centrifuge to seperate the PRP from the blood.  PRP contains highly concentrated amounts of natural growth factors and cytokines that promote regeneration of collagen.

May require 3-6 treatments 1 month apart. Results are permanent, however we continue to age so maintenance every 6-12 months is suggested.

If treatment is on the face, please come with no makeup. Face will be reddened for 4hours -24 hours (like a sunburn). Avoid sun exposure for 2-3 days or wear sunscreen and/or a hat.

$250/treatment

More Examples of Microneedling (Before/After):

Botulinum (commonly known as "Botox")

Dermal Fillers

Hyaluronic acid is injected into the skin to fill resting wrinkles and facial folds. Can help fill scars, enhance lips, add volume to cheeks, and soften other facial contours.

Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance in our skin and cartilage, which decreases with age.

Lasts 6-12 months.

Can resume normal activities after.

May have some bruising and swelling, can apply a cold compress to minimize.

Should avoid strenuous exercise, alcohol, and exposure to heat for 24 hours.

$500/syringe

Examples of Dermal Fillers (Before/After):

Sclerotherapy

Injection of a solution into spider veins and small varicose veins, causing a reaction in the walls of the veins. This leads to hardening or “sclerosis” of the veins. Blood flow is directed to healthier veins and the treated veins are eventually absorbed by the body.

For sclerotherapy to work best, compression stockings should be worn during the day and taken off at night for 3-14 days after treatment. These can be purchased in most pharmacies. Regular exercise helps prevent complications and reoccurrences.

Can resume normal activities after treatment. Walking is recommended immediately after so blood will be pushed through other vessels .

Avoid vigorous activity for 24-48 hours. Avoid high impact activity and weight lifting for 7 days. Avoid hot tubs and saunas for 7 days.

Not everyone is a candidate for sclerotherapy. People with the following should not have treatment:

-Peripheral vascular disease
-Past blood clot, or blood clotting disorder
-Pregnant or breast feeding
-Congestive heart failure
-Diabetes Mellitus
-Taking some hormones/tamoxifen/chronic steroid use
-Immobile

If varicosities are large, likely requires surgery.

May be covered my Manitoba Health, ask your family doctor. If not covered $150/treatment.

Cryolipolysis (CoolSculpt)

Best for small amounts of fat resistant to diet and exercise.

Research has shown that fat freezes at higher temperature than other tissues. Controlled cooling destroys fat cells without damaging other tissues. Fat cells are then removed by lymphatic system.

A cooling device is placed on an area for approximately 1 hour. During this time you can work on a laptop, read, listen to music or take a nap. After the treatment, can return to daily routine immediately.

Lose 20% of fat in the treated area after one treatment. See maximum results 2-3 months after treatment.

$650/session

Ultrasound Cavitation Vacuum Radiofrequency

Ultrasonic cavitation vibrates fat cells, generating microbubbles into fatty tissue. The bubbles increase hydrostatic pressure causing fat cells to break open. The vacuum RF helps empty the fat cells, tightens skin and increases circulation to help remove contents of fat cell through lymphatic system.

Each treatment lasts 30 mininutes.  For maximum results may need up to 6-8 treatments.  Can immedidiatley return to normal daily activities after treatment.

Great for circumferential weight loss, toning and cellulite reduction.

$150/session or 8 sessions for $1000

Fractional RadiofrequencyFacial

Thermal energy is gently applied to the face which denatures collagen in the deep dermis of the skin. The collagen remodels through controlled wound healing over time associated with new collagen growth

Best results with 3-5 treatments done 1 month apart. Results are permanent but we continue to age so maintenance every 6-12 month is suggested.

May be red after treatment (like a sunburn).
